It’s time OS X didn’t re­sem­ble a bunch of vis­ual styles com­pet­ing for the spot­light

We imag­ine this is the one wish list en­try we will see in some way, given that Yosemite feels much like OS X 10.0 once did – an ex­treme change that’s un­fin­ished. It needs – and might get – re­fine­ment, such as more con­trast and im­proved app icons. But there’s a spe­cific change we’d ap­pre­ci­ate: bring back old-style Finder la­bels. They were far more prom­i­nent (and so more use­ful) than Yosemite’s tiny tag cir­cles that lurk at the end of file­names.
