Take more control of slowmotion videos

Slow-motion video on the iPhone is great, but if you want to create movies with multiple speeds, Apple doesn’t offer that much control – while iMovie can handle different speeds, there’s no graduation between them. Flow fixes that.

Import your slo-mo videos into Flow and you’ll see a graph at the bottom. You can raise or lower points on the line to speed up or slow down the video. Crucially, it adds smooth changes between speeds, making for a much more professional look. Adding new points is easy (press and hold), though the control scheme was a little awkward on our iPhone 6 – the buttons are tiny!

Other than size, though, Flow is fairly intuitive. It’s extremely well thought-out all around.

You can also add filters and add music from your collection, though we wish you could fade this in and out. Matt Bolton There are some minor missteps, but if you like slo-mo videos, get this app – it’s that simple.
