Finally, a mic app for your Watch

The Apple Watch is equipped with a mic and speaker, but the absence of a built-in recording app (despite iOS’s Voice Memos app on your iPhone) is really annoying. Just Press Record, as the name implies, fixes that and goes some way to bettering the iOS memos app. On your iOS device or Watch, simply tap the red mic icon and recording begins (tap again to end). Recordings are automatically organised by date and time and can be renamed and shared with various apps. What’s more, recordings sync straight to iCloud Drive, great now that there’s easier access to it in iOS 9’s app. It’s a seamless experience and there’s a Mac app too, so you can play back on any other device in seconds however you choose to record. That said, there are no options at all to tweak your recording. We would like to see features such as tags, markers and basic editing.
