The Logi Circle is the only portable camera on test – charge it up, then detach it from the magnetic charging base for up to 12 hours’ use anywhere in your home. There’s also a two-way mic so you can talk to people at the other end of the feed, similar to the Arlo Q and Withings Home HD. The Withings takes this nanny cam approach to another level, throwing in an option to play music and provide soft lights via its magnetic base to soothe a baby to sleep. An air quality monitor adds reassurance, something also provided by the Canary, which has temperature and humidity sensors too.

Kodak’s camera is the only one offering pan-and-tilt capabilities, controlled from your mobile app to give you a look around your surroundings. It also has a two-way mic and can act as a Wi-Fi range extender too.
