Air­Port Ex­treme doesn’t have a built-in broad­band mo­dem, which means you’ll need to con­nect it to a third-party mo­dem by Eth­er­net ca­ble to get on­line. If Air­Port Ex­treme is work­ing prop­erly – or you’re us­ing a third-party broad­band router for both Wi-Fi and in­ter­net – open your web browser and en­ter the router’s IP ad­dress and sign in to its ad­min tool us­ing ei­ther the set­tings sup­plied by the man­u­fac­turer or your ISP. In most cases, restart­ing or re­set­ting the mo­dem should fix the prob­lem. It’s also worth check­ing the hard­ware has the lat­est firmware in­stalled. If you’re still hav­ing prob­lems, your ISP’s ser­vice may be down. Go to the rel­e­vant sup­port page on the ISP’s web­site on a de­vice with mo­bile in­ter­net ac­cess, such as your iPhone, or call your ISP.
