Unlike MagSafe power adaptors, Apple’s USB-C chargers aren’t sold as complete packages; you have to add a USB-C charge cable. A spare power adaptor to keep in your bag or at work costs £69 (61W, 13-inch) or £79 (87W, 15-inch), plus £19 for Apple’s charge cable. The positive side is a damaged cable can be replaced affordably on its own. If you’re tempted to buy another brand’s USB-C charge cable, check its specs: some are certified to deliver up to 60W. Also, an extension cable is no longer bundled with the MacBook Pro; that’s now £19 extra.
