What is a contact sensor?

A contact sensor is actually two sensors that work together to protect doors and windows. One sensor is attached to the door/window, while the second sensor is attached to the frame. When the door/ window is closed, the two sensors are in contact – but if the door/window opens the contact is broken and the sensor sends you an alarm.
