Fallback internet connection

When we lose mains power, our broadband often goes down too. Is there any way to switch my MacBook Pro over to using my iPhone’s mobile connection?

Athe data use on your mobile account, and get a decent connection speed, you can set your iPhone up to provide a Personal Hotspot, and a fallback internet connection for your Mac.

Switching to that setup is quicker and simpler if you save it in the Network pane as a Location. When your regular connection goes down, all you then have to do is turn the iPhone’s hotspot on, and switch location on your Mac.
