Why can’t I use a keyboard/ trackpad combo with the iPad?
If your Bluetooth keyboard has an integral trackpad, only the keyboard part will work when it is paired with an iPad or iPhone. This is because the iPad is a touchscreen device, so it simply ignores the trackpad inputs from the keyboard. If you are using the iPad to connect using VNC to a computer in Bluetooth range, you can simply connect the keyboard and the remote computer directly instead.
Can I run VNC Connect and VNC Viewer on the same computer?
Yes. But make sure you only use VNC Viewer to connect to other computers. If you try connecting to the server running on the same computer, you will immediately generate a cascade of remote connections inside remote connections, extending off to infinity. This will lock up your Mac completely!
