Test 1 Feature set
How much control do you get?
Most of these apps provide control of core parameters like exposure, zoom and focus point, but RAW Power is an image editor only. ProCam has extensive photo and video options and gives a good visual readout of settings, similar to a real DSLR, as does Halide. However, ProCamera comes out ahead, with a comprehensive set of options for controlling shooting parameters easily from the main screen, as well as extras like a configurable on-screen display and a tiltmeter. Camera+ is the most elementary with manual controls, and it’s not a huge step up from Apple’s own offering. Prime is somewhere in between, with good core shooting controls but without image editing capabilities. In terms of image editing, RAW Power has the strongest feature set and the developer plans to add picture-shooting capabilities. Geotagging is widely supported, and Prime and ProCam support 3D Touch.
