Test 4 Editing pictures

Making tweaks after the shutter fires

-

Most of these apps offer a good suite of editing tools. ProCamera has advanced, Photoshop-style tools for editing, including detailed tone, colour, sharpening and curve adjustments, as well as some quick presets. ProCam has similar editing tools and also features some fun distortion presets. Halide doesn’t allow editing post-shoot, but can store a depth map from a dual-lens camera, so once that picture is in the Camera Roll you can use Apple’s portrait lighting effects. Camera+ has decent editing options but its tools have less fine-grained control and feel quite basic. Prime is another app geared towards shooting rather than editing, so has no editing options, but you can export raw files.

RAW Power is designed for editing, so it has advanced (but friendly) controls to tweak all aspects of an image using the same kinds of tools you’d find in Lightroom or in Photoshop’s raw editor.
