Can I ac­cess iCloud from Linux?

Ap­ple has soft­ware for Win­dows, but none for Linux. Any op­er­at­ing sys­tem with Fire­fox 27 or Chrome 35 or later should be able to use ser­vices at iCloud.com. Nathan Broad­bent has made his own tools for Linux (bit.ly/nd­blinux).

Can Thun­der­bolt 3 be used for net­work­ing too?

Yes, you can con­nect two Macs us­ing a ca­ble bear­ing the light­ning logo and the fig­ure 3. In the­ory, you could also con­nect more Macs in a star from a Thun­der­bolt 3 hub, but no one seems to make one yet.
