HOW TO Manage Safari extensions
1 Finding Safari extensions
Open Safari, then click on Safari in the Menu bar and choose Safari Extensions to go to the Mac App Store extensions page. You can also search for ‘extensions’ in the Mac App Store, then click on Story at the top right.
3 Set up your extension
Open the extension from Launchpad and follow the instructions to set it up. Some extensions will ask you to log in, and some will ask for permission to access Location, Camera or other Mac features.
5 Rearrange extensions
If you don’t like the default order of extensions on the toolbar, rearrange them by clicking on the toolbar, then clicking Customise Toolbar. You can then drag and drop the extension icons to your preferred order.
2 Download extension
Once you find an extension you like, install it like you would an app. If it’s free, click Get; if you need to pay for it, click on the price, verify your purchase and let it download. Like apps, Extensions are available from the Launchpad.
4 Use extensions
You are now ready to use your extensions. The various icons will be available in the Safari toolbar – simply click on the relevant icon to activate it, and the extension will then appear as a pop-up window.
6 Delete extensions
If you need to enable/disable an extension temporarily, go to Safari > Preferences, then click Extensions and click the checkbox as appropriate. Click the Uninstall button here to remove the extension from Safari.
