Previously, we’ve shown you how to edit video in Adobe Premiere Elements 2020, but to age a film convincingly you need to learn the technique of overlaying one clip over the top of another, and to do that you’ll need to upgrade to its more advanced cousin, Premiere Pro, which comes as part of Adobe’s Creative Cloud. Luckily, there’s a 30-day trial available at adobe.com.
Premiere Pro has many more options available than Premiere Elements 2020. In this tutorial, we’ll first overlay some grainy film and then add in some film burns at various transition points to give the video a really authentic look. The result is effective and shows how easy it can be to create quite striking effects if you know just a few simple editing tips and tricks.
