Pro tips 1 Track changes
This is useful if multiple people are contributing to a doc. Go to Edit > Track Changes. When you alter your doc’s text, it’s highlighted with an accompanying mark in the margin. You’ll see a new toolbar that enables you to accept or reject others’ changes. Click the gear there for more options.
2 Password protection
Choose File > Set Password to add password-based encryption to a doc. If your Mac has a Touch Bar and Touch ID is set up, you can opt to use it to open files; set this in General preferences in Pages, Numbers and Keynote. If Touch ID is unavailable, you can save the password in your keychain.
3 Change a password
Any new password you set only applies to the current and later versions. If your file is shared with other people, stop sharing it first, add or change the password, then share again. This stops others rolling back to a version that uses an older password or none at all.
4 Rotate object groups
To rotate multiple images around a point, ç-click them, in the Format inspector’s Arrange tab click the Group button, then use the rotate tool there to turn around the group’s centre. This works for images, but not with images and charts that are selected together.
