Which bag has the most room?

With 18 litres of storage to play with, the Herschel Gibson Messenger is the roomiest bag, with the InCase Compass Messenger’s 16-litre following closely behind. The Targus Newport and STM Judge offer 15l and 14l respectively, while the Moshi Urbana has a compact and bijou 13l.

It’s not just about wriggle room. The Herschel and Moshi have the most internal and external pockets, while the Moshi also has room for an iPad with a dedicated tablet space. InCase’s Compass Messenger has an iPad pocket too, but it also has the fewest internal pockets. The Targus feels tightest on space as its 2-in-1 design means your laptop has to slide vertically into its zipped compartment. There’s no room really for an iPad either. You could squeeze an iPad into the secondary zipped pocket, however we’d be wary of doing so.
