I can’t access my files from another computer

The Mac you want to access must be awake and connected to the same network. If you still can’t see the remote Mac under Shared in Finder’s sidebar, return to it, check File Sharing is enabled in System Prefs’ Sharing. If that Mac still doesn’t appear in the other’s Finder sidebar, try connecting directly: in Finder, press

ç+k and enter smb://[machine name].local, replacing [machine name] with the name shown at the top of the other Mac’s Sharing pane.
