Extended Windows

-

Your article on managing disk sets was great. However, I have the following question: Can disks formatted in Mac OS Extended format be read by a Windows PC? Rafał

Windows can’t do this natively, but there are tools that can enable it. HFSExplorer (free,

catacombae.org) lets you read drives and extract files. Paragon HFS+ ($20, paragon-software. com) enables you to write to them as well. However, we don’t know what will happen after the arrival of APFS, which will probably be later this year. This is a replacement for the HFS system used in Apple’s current formatting, which is what these pieces of software are designed to deal with.
