5 Notes and Reminders niceties
Never lose nuggets of genius on scraps of paper again – instead, store them safely in these two apps
Format your notes 1
Click the format menu (Aa) to give notes titles and headings. In Notes’ preferences, you can set the first line of new notes to be a title or heading. Be mindful that the first two lines are shown in the sidebar.
Temporary lists 3
Click the checklist button (or press ß+ç+l) to turn the current or selected lines into a checklist. Click an item’s circle to mark it as done, or move the insertion point to the item’s row and press ß+ç+u.
Work with 2 attachments
Maps’ and Safari’s Share buttons can add content to Notes as a visual preview; click one of those previews to reopen its location or page. In Notes, use this button to browse all such attachments.
Share notes 4
Click the Share button to send the current note to the likes of Mail or Facebook. If a note is stored in iCloud, not just on your Mac (check in the sidebar), click the Add People button to invite someone else to collaborate.
