View your Mac’s webcam remotely

AtHome Video Streamer is a free app that sends video from a Mac’s camera to an iOS device of your choice. It’s great for monitoring what’s happening in front of your Mac while you’re away.

When you’re at work, in traffic, or on the subway, you can get out your iPhone and see what your paranoid pets are up to, check on your kids when they get home from school, see what your partner is doing, and so on. The app shows you a live video feed from your Mac’s camera.

You don’t need to constantly watch it, however, as the Mac can detect when there is movement and automatically begin recording, or you can set it to record at certain times.
