Find your AirPods using your iPhone

The latest version of iOS helps you locate your in-ear buds

- david crookes

Apple’s AirPods are great for listening to music and chatting hands-free, but their diminutive size means there’s every chance that you will misplace them from time to time. With the replacement of just a single bud by Apple costing $69, replacing your tiny white headphones could leave you seriously cash-strapped.

Thankfully, help is at hand. As of iOS 10.3, Apple has made it much easier to find missing AirPods. It has integrated a Find My AirPods function within the Find My iPhone app, so you don’t have to aimlessly rip your house apart only to find they’re stuck down the back of the couch.

Instead, when you activate the feature, a chirping noise will sound for a couple of minutes, hopefully pointing the way to the headphones’ location if they’re nearby. Let’s see how to use this, and also how to check on iCloud for your AirPods’ last known location.
