But the cross-platform service stands as a shining example of what can be done with the diminutive platform.

Most impressively, Telegram users don’t miss much in terms of features when running the watchOS version. Chat messages can include the usual assortment of dictated text, stickers, locations, and emoji, not to mention preset phrases that make it easier to talk without a keyboard.

You can also view incoming photos, stickers, locations, documents, or videos, and there’s a shortcut to open any message in the iPhone app. In addition to starting new chats and viewing user or group profiles, you can block unwanted users.

The Apple Watch app hasn’t yet been updated to leverage watchOS 3, so performance isn’t quite up to par.
