Nifty little updates in the Notes app
An important creative feature and a practical improvement come to Notes
Explained Tables in Notes A Notes tables
Click the Table button in Notes’ toolbar, or choose Format > Table, and a table will be added to your note at the insertion point’s current location. You can add multiple tables to a single note – you aren’t limited to one.
B Table formatting
Tables in Notes start off two cells tall and two cells wide. To change the setup, Ctrl-click the column or row widget (three dots), and then use the Add and Delete options accordingly. Note you don’t get headers – just standard cells.
C Columns and rows
Columns and rows in Notes can be rearranged. Click in a cell in the one to move, then drag from the relevant column or row widget. Be aware that you can only move columns or rows to a different point within the same table.
D Copying tables
Copying and pasting Notes’ tables into other apps isn’t entirely intuitive, and results can vary across apps. The easy way is to click in a cell, press Cmd+A twice (once if the cell is empty) to select the table, then copy and paste.
