Why won’t my son’s iPad get the latest iOS update?

Is it jailbroken? If so, remove the jailbreak by connecting to iTunes on your Mac using a USB cable, turning off Find My iPhone, backing it up, and restoring it to Apple’s original software. After that you’ll need to update it to the latest iOS, before restoring from the backup.

Where can I view all devices that are using my Aple ID?

In iOS 10.3 or later, open Settings and tap your name at the top of its first page. Scroll down and you’ll see a detailed listing of each of your Macs and other devices which are associated with your Apple ID. Tap them to see summary details, such as serial numbers.
