Make It Rain

An addictive but flawed version of the iOS title

Free From Space Inch, spaceinch.com Made For iPhone, iPad, Watch Needs iOS 8.0 or later If money is truly the root of all evil, then Make It Rain: The Love of Money is a game even the Devil himself might enjoy. The object is to see how fast you can swipe and watch the money pile up – you know, “make it rain,” in gangsta parlance.

It’s more addictive than you might think, but a whole lot less fun on Apple Watch, where you simply keep tapping ad nauseum to watch the amount of cash increase without so much as the satisfaction of accompanying sound effects. On the plus side, the animation is smooth, and watchOS responds well to persistent tapping on the screen.

Also a positive, the Watch version isn’t riddled with advertising and in-app purchases, which plague the iPhone and iPad versions with a constant reminder that money does indeed make the world go ’round.

the bottom line. The novelty wears off pretty quickly on Watch, especially when there’s no sound to accompany the otherwise decent animation. J.R. Bookwalter Weak
