A bit of a problem

-

Your August article confirms that macOS Mojave will no longer run 32–bit Mac apps. I have an iMac 5K (late 2015) running High Sierra. I currently have Parallels running Windows 10. My questions is: is it possible to create a new Virtual Machine in Parallels and then port my High Sierra to the VM so I can run the couple of 32–bit apps that I will no longer be able to update? Harold R. Mancusi-Ungaro, Jr. High Sierra was said to be the last macOS to run 32–bit apps “without compromise”. Luckily, Mojave will run 32–bit apps, but the concern remains for later. You can partition your startup disk for different systems. Less disruptive is to clone High Sierra to an external drive — ideally a USB 3 SSD. Or, install High Sierra in a virtual machine within your main OS to avoid enduring restarts.
