HOW TO Customize Memories in Photos

View a memory

In Photos, tap For You. Tap See All to see all the memories iOS has created from your photos. Swipe up to scroll through them and tap on one to view it. Tap Play to view the movie or Show More to see all the photos.

Share a memory

In any Memory, tap the More button (…) at the top of the screen. Tap Share Photos, then choose how you want to share it or who you want to share it with. You can also add a memory to your favorites from here.

Related memories

Scroll to the bottom of a memory and tap another memory beneath the Related heading. Tap a face under the People heading to see more memories featuring them, or the map for pics near the memory location.

Change the mood

Choose a Memory and tap the play button. When it’s playing, tap the screen and choose a mood. The soundtrack and titles will change to fit the style you pick. You can also set your movie to be short, medium or long.

Choose soundtrack

When a Memory movie is playing, tap Edit. Tap Music. Tap Edit Music. Choose from Soundtrack, for pre–selected tracks, or My Music for music from your Library. Tap Play to audition a track, then its name to select.

Change photos

Tap Edit as in Step 5. This time, tap Photos & Videos. Scroll through the photos and tap the bin to delete any you don’t want. Tap “+” to add photos and then tap on the photos you want to add. Deselecting will also remove them.

Change title

On the same Edit screen as in steps 5 and 6, tap Title. Type a new title in the top line, and a subheading in the second. Tap the back arrow then Title Image. Tap an image then the back arrow. When you’re finished, tap Done.

Your own Memory

Tap any album in Albums view. On the next screen, tap the album header, then the More button (…). Tap Add to Memories. Tap the Memory to view it. You can now edit it in the same way as any other Memory.

Stream a Memory

When a Memory is playing, tap the screen, then Share. Tap AirPlay (if it’s not there, no AirPlay devices are connected). Choose the AirPlay device on which you want the Memory to play or Cancel to return to the Share screen.
