AMD Ryzen 7 1800X

It’s weird having choice again, even in this climate of Ryzen 7 CPUs being available. For the best bang for your buck, you have three options: the 1700, the 1700X, and the 1800X. In theory, the best chips for overclocking should be the 1700X and the 1800X—however, we’ve heard rumors suggesting that some 1700 chips are actually capable of out-clocking even the top-end 95W parts. That said, for stock clocks and reliability’s sake, the 1800X is king of the hill, and although it may not be the bestvalue processor out there, it’s still $500 less than its Intel equivalent.
