CASCADES FEMALE FACTORY HISTORIC SITE, TOMORROW, 9.30AM-4PM Step back into colonial times at the annual Female Factory open day. Various activities are planned, including a brief theatrical performanc­e from the popular Her Story, depicting the gruelling life of an incarcerat­ed convict woman, as well as enthrallin­g children’s activities and an appearance by the Matron from the Matron’s Cottage. The free event will be a good chance to catch resident artist Dr Christina Henri, who will discuss her installati­on Roses from the Heart with bonnets from the artwork on display. SISTERS & MISTERS OF SONG

The Melbourne-based Sisters and Misters choir will sing a range of upbeat and popular songs, led by musical director Irene Bennetts. A CRASH COURSE IN A CAPPELLA

HOBART CITY CHURCH OF CHRIST, TUESDAY, 7.30PM Four weeks of dedicated singing rehearsals will culminate in this a cappella performanc­e. Run by The Singing Shed, the concert will showcase the voices of 12 men and includes renditions of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah and I Still Call Australia Home.
