LEAD SINGER OF WOLFMOTHER

-

I am happiest when … I’ve just put out a new song and you see a crowd singing along to it. It’s humbling. You wouldn’t know it but … I used to be a fashion photographer. I worked for Australian Vogue and Australian Style. I used to do it by submission. My most embarrassing moment was … when my daughter and her friends from school spotted me and I realised I’m an embarrassment to her. The last time I cried was … the last time I saw my royalty cheque. The last book I read … I haven’t finished yet but it’s Cynthia Lennon’s autobiography John.

My favourite film is … Die Hard. Pretty terrible, isn’t it? I bought my first Filofax when I saw John McClane (played by Bruce Willis) open one. I thought, ‘That’s cool – I have to get one of those things’. I really want to … rock Tassie. My guilty pleasure is … the most slothful and indulgent thing I remember was when I was on tour in Singapore. It was 10am and I thought, ‘I’m going to lie in bed, watch a movie and have a Coke’. Life has taught me that … common sense isn’t common. I’m about to … tour Europe for the next two to three months. Hopefully, I’ll record some new songs that I’ve written this year.

See Wolfmother at the Granada Tavern, tonight at 8pm. Tickets are $39 from granadatavern.com.au
