MOONAH ARTS CENTRE, UNTIL SEPTEMBER 16 This free exhibition details the work of three contemporary Tasmanian artists with national and international standing in the medium of printmaking: Milan Milojevic, Dr Yvonne Rees-Pagh and Jennifer Marshall. The artists explore the qualities of printmaking through political, historical and fictional themes, using techniques from the traditional to the digital. It showcases the artists’ diverse approaches to the medium, from their individual series of works to one large collaborative piece bringing together a range of printmaking media. THEATRE ROYAL, MONDAY TO WEDNESDAY, 5.30PM This classic Australian children’s story by Jackie French comes to life on stage for three shows next week. Meet Mothball, a large puppet version of the lovable wombat illustrated by Bruce Whatley. Young children will delight as Mothball’s adventures and misadventures over the course of his infamous week are played out on stage by puppeteers Sam Hickey and Mike Cullen, and accompanied by a live cellist.
