DANNY McGINLAY COMEDIAN AND BANNER WRITER FOR THE AFL’S WESTERN BULLDOGS

I was happiest when … the final siren sounded on October 1 last year. I’ve dreamt of watching the Bulldogs win a grand final my whole life. It was as good as I’d imagined. You wouldn’t know it but … there are millions of bacteria shagging on you right now. My most embarrassing moment … makes for great material. The last time I cried was … while watching Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. I hate how becoming a parent makes you cry in movies. I teared up when the duo go to the future and for the first time and realise they’re important.

The last book I read was … The Short Long Book by Martin Flanagan, a biography of [former AFL player] Michael Long. Flanagan could write about tax law and make it interesting. Give him a great story like Longy’s and it’s a work of brilliance. My favourite films are … Casablanca, Hot Fuzz and Evil Dead III: Army of Darkness. I really want to … play James

Bond. Who doesn’t? My guilty pleasure is … old sitcoms. Everything from I Love Lucy to On the

Buses. I love them. Life has taught me … not to worry about the bacteria shagging on me.

My most memorable moment was … performing at the MCG after last year’s grand final.
