FOOD REVIEW TRAVEL BOOKS ART GARDENING Anyone who ever saw Tassie’s own Wolfe Brothers perform before they shot to national fame knew they were destined for big things. I was privileged to see them several times at numerous St Aloysius Catholic College functions, mainly because their mum, Lee, was a teachers’ aide at the school and they probably felt like they couldn’t say no to her! But who would have thought it would take a reality TV show like Australia’s Got Talent to see the local lads finally get the recognition they deserve and also get the opportunities to do things like write and record albums in the Mecca of country music, Nashville, Tennessee. And as Linda Smith reports, to see the humble band of brothers receive praise and support from the likes of Lee Kernaghan, Troy Cassar-Daley and Kasey Chambers, they must be doing something right. To also see them recognised with an amazing four Golden Guitar Awards, at the recent Tamworth Country Music Festival, was just another huge feather in their Akubras. Couldn’t have happened to a better bunch of blokes.
