ROBERT ‘MILLSY’ MILLS

-

I was happiest when … I got the call to be the original Fiyero in Oz [in Australian musical stage show Wicked]. I burst into tears I was so happy. You wouldn’t know it but … I dropped out of drama in Year 12 because I was too afraid to act in front of people. My most embarrassing moment … doing a full moon to the audience whilst trying to pick up my flailing mic pack, nude, in my first musical performance of Hair. The last time I cried was … Avengers: Endgame. But proper ugly cry was watching A Star Is Born. The last book I read was … Leigh Sales — Any Ordinary Day. Beautiful heartwarming/heartbreaking stories of resilience and hope. My favourite films are … all the Avengers, Boy, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, La La Land, Moulin Rouge, Crash, Identity, Forrest Gump, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Star Wars (all). I really want to … play guitar at an elite level. My guilty pleasure is … MAFS [Married at First Sight]. Life has taught me … that we are all equal and that we all have stuff. I’m about to … start riding a motorbike. My first job was … paper boy before school. Seven days a week for $21. My most memorable work-related moment is … waking up from a coma with retrograde amnesia. No longer do I have to play the villain on the show [Neighbours]. I’m a good guy! What I enjoy most about my work is … I just love telling stories through acting and singing.
