COMPETITION heated up quickly when it came to purchasing this popular property. This 1.1ha slice of heaven on Hobart’s Eastern Shore hit the market with Petrusma Property at “Offers over $1.495m”.

With thousands of views on realestate.com.au, it flew up to the No.8 spot on the most-viewed homes chart nationally, and it was No.1 in Tasmania.

Petrusma director and auctioneer Daniel ten Broeke said No.173 Saxon Dr, Acton Park had been just as popular in the market as it was on the property website.

“It is not a surprise to hear Saxon Dr was so popular online,” he said.

“The home attracted 19 groups to inspect it within just days of going live.

“And it is now under contract (subject to finance), having been sold under competition.”

Mr ten Broeke said Saxon Dr has always been a coveted location in Acton Park.

“While No.173 was originally built in 1989, the residence has been meticulously renovated from top to bottom and presents as a brand new home,” he said.

“With its highly advanced kitchen and bathrooms, great accommodation and living space, outdoor entertaining, plus a massive and very well-built 76sq m shed and stunning grounds — including paddocks, an orchard, veggie garden and chook run — No.173 offers almost everything you could wish for in a semirural property.

“It is the epitome of an Acton

Park lifestyle for families.”

Entry to No.173 is via an electric wooden gate where a concrete driveway leads to the residence, with easy access to the separate garage and ample carparking at the front.

The main entry foyer connects to the home’s central open plan living area including the high-end kitchen, a sunken lounge and sliding and bi-fold doors opening to the partially covered outdoor entertaining area with expansive decking.

The superb galley kitchen has a central island bench and breakfast bar, a butler’s pantry, recessed sink, brass tapware and a bi-fold window.

It is appointed with top-end Neff appliances, including the wall oven, induction cooktops and a concealed rangehood, as well as an integrated AEG dishwasher, integrated Liebherr double-door fridge and integrated Neff coffee machine.

There is keyless entry to the front door via phone, PIN code or fingerprint, and keyless entry to the garage doors also opening via phone app.

The oven and coffee machine can also be started remotely via a phone app to make a morning coffee from bed.

The home has four dedicated bedrooms, the master suite with custom built-in wardrobes and cabinetry including a timber television recess, plus a stunning ensuite with a walk-in shower.

The large family bathroom has a freestanding bath, and underfloor heating.

One of the most versatile areas of the home is the rumpus or games room, which is isolated from the main living area for privacy, with access via sliding glass doors off the deck.

Outside, the huge separate shed or workshop is partially lined in a timber finish, with a separate office.

There are landscaped, established gardens, three fenced paddocks for horses, sheep or alpacas and direct gate access to the Tangara Trail.

The Acton Park property also has a fire pit, an orchard, and an area for children to play.
