Pub sex assault claims interview
POLICE have interviewed a person over an alleged sex assault which they say happened at Cygnet’s Top Pub.
However, detectives are yet to lay any charges in the matter.
The alleged sex crime is believed to have occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.
“Investigations are ongoing,” a police spokeswoman said.
“No more information can be released at this stage so as to protect the alleged victim.”
The Top Pub remained closed for part of Sunday while investigators, including forensic officers, examined the scene of the alleged crime.
Officers from Kingston Criminal Investigation Bureau are handling the investigation.
