Reality too upsetting

AGAIN I find my day in paradise disturbed by Peter Boyer’s column on climate change (Talking Point, February 21). The sun is shining, I had just been for a paddle in my kayak and stop to buy a paper on the way home. What do I see? Not the usual comforting words from government that we are meeting our targets, don’t worry, just keep being good happy consumers and everything will be all right.

No I get a hit of reality right between the eyes. I didn’t ask for that — serves me right for buying a paper, I suppose. But reality?
