PACKING IT IN

-

Unpacked owner Anna Wiese is also a distributor of Tassie Tallow products, and it is one of the few in the shop to come already in its glass container.

As the name implies, most products are sold in bulk. You can bring your own bottles and jars, weigh them as you come in and put the printed sticker on them. The weight is then tared off when you come to pay for the honey, olive oil, kombucha or Willie Smith’s apple cider vinegar you have filled them with.

You can also buy just as much as you want of Tasman Sea Salt, Tassie T (black, oolong or green), Whistlers Ridge eggs one at a time, or any number of cereals, grains, flours, nuts and spices.

The bulk goods are in stainless steel rather than plastic bins and, as well as a children’s play area, coffee and cakes for sale, the familyfriendliness extends to wide aisles and parking right next to and behind the shop.
