Skillern retains the helm

TASMANIA’S peak farming body has reappointed Peter Skillern as its chief executive and called for nominations for its executive committee.

The Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association announced Mr Skillern would continue to lead the organisation for another two years.

TFGA president Wayne Johnston said that the board was unanimous in its decision to re-sign Mr Skillern.

“We would like to congratulate Peter on his financial management, and leadership of our TFGA team, as well as his excellent advocacy on behalf of the agricultural sector,’’ Mr Johnston said.

“We look forward to working with him to build a strong future for Tasmanian farmers.”

Written nominations for the 10 executive committee member positions are to be with the Returning Officer no later than 12pm on May 5.
