Bushwalker located

A SEARCH and rescue party has found a man missing for 12 hours at Meander Falls.

A police and SES ground party found the man at 3am yesterday after he was reported missing by his partner.

The couple left for the 2½hour walk about 11.15am on Thursday and the woman returned to their car after the pair agreed to meet at 2pm.

Police said she became concerned when her partner failed to show up at the agreed time.

Search and rescue personnel found the man at 3am yesterday near a creek and he was able to walk out with rescuers.

Police said after becoming lost, the man had found a creek but, with darkness falling, he had decided to stay and wait until morning. Conditions overnight were cold but the man was in good health.
