VICE-REGAL
Yesterday morning, the Governor of Tasmania, Professor the Honourable Kate Warner, and Mr Warner departed Tasmania. The Lieutenant Governor of Tasmania, the Honourable Justice Alan Blow, assumed the administration of the government of the State. Later at the Supreme Court, the Lieutenant Governor received the President and Clerk of the Legislative Council who presented Bills for the Royal Assent. In the afternoon at Government House Canberra, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Warner, attended an investiture ceremony at which she was invested as a Companion of the Order of Australia. In the evening at Government House, the Lieutenant Governor and Mrs Blow hosted a reception for delegates attending the National Conference of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem.
