JOHNNY Cash fans can Walk The Line next week when Australia’s most acclaimed tribute act returns to Tasmania with its latest show.

Starring Australia’s own “Man in Black”, Daniel Thompson, and Golden Guitar-winning guitarist Stuie French, Johnny Cash: The Concert has played to more than 35,000 Cash fans across Australia since starting out in 2009.

Almost 18 months since their last tour, the team behind Johnny Cash: The Concert are now refreshed and ready to hit Australian stages with their latest show Walk The Line, a tribute to the 2006 Johnny Cash biopic of the same name.

The film helped introduce Cash and his music to whole new generation of fans, while earning five Academy Award nomination­s — including a Best Actress win for Reese Witherspoo­n and a Best Actor nomination for Joaquin Phoenix.

Also featuring The Tennessee Express (upright bass player Artie Taylor and drummer Brad Bergen) and some of Australian country music’s finest female singers performing the June Carter parts, the Walk The Line concert will include all the Cash songs from the movie and its Grammy-winning soundtrack album, plus other hits and highlights from throughout Cash’s career.
