OCTOBER 21, 2014: 27 AFP officers officially stand down from the airport.

JULY 29, 2017: Security is beefed up at Tasmanian airports after four men are arrested in Sydney in connection to an alleged plot to bring down a plane using an improvised explosive device.

AUGUST 4, 2017: The Federal Government announced Hobart airport’s security needs will be assessed as part of a national security of airports.
