Upsized McGregor just ‘fine’ by Floyd

-

FLOYD Mayweather has taunted Conor McGregor by warning him he could lose millions if he doesn’t drop 4kg before tomorrow’s weigh-in.

Mayweather has expressed concerns that McGregor is looking like coming in to fight night over the weight limit of 70kg. The American is so confident of beating McGregor he decided to wolf down some burgers just days before the fight.

Mayweather said that McGregor is extremely heavy at the moment and only has a matter of days to lose the weight or he will be paying Mayweather millions in a fine.

Unbeaten Mayweather will not cancel the fight if McGregor misses weight but instead will seek a chunk of the Irishman’s purse for the fight.

Mayweather told Fight Hype: “Conor McGregor is extremely heavy right now, extremely heavy.”

Mayweather said that he thinks McGregor is at least 4kg overweight.

The 40-year-old also took aim at UFC president Dana White.

“I think he’s 164, so he’s still got 10 pounds to go,” Mayweather said.

“You go get that extra money if you can’t make the weight, get them extra millions ready, Dana. Somebody got to pay a fine.

“He got to get that weight down like a true champion. A true champion is discipline, and very responsible.

“I don’t think he gonna make the weight. Even if he do make the weight, that’s even better. But if he don’t make the weight, we still gonna fight but it’s going to be a heavy fine — get me that money.”

Favourite Mayweather has been in relaxed mood — despite a flurry of bets going on to the underdog McGregor.

It was reported by Sunsport how he still had time to show off his multimillion-dollar watch collection.

The former five-division world champion revealed a dazzling set of diamond, emerald and ruby-encrusted timepieces while jetting to Las Vegas.

Mayweather, who Forbes values at $428 million, explained he had splashed out on some new bling.
