Yesterday morning at Tasmania Police Academy, Rokeby, the Governor of Tasmania, Professor the Honourable Kate Warner, accompanie­d by Mr Warner, placed a wreath and delivered the address at National Police Remembranc­e Day 2017. In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor and Mr Warner hosted a luncheon in honour of the visit by the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, His Excellency Mr Abel Guterres, attended by Ms Robin Banks and Mr Michael Small; Mr Tony Colman and Mrs Liz Colman; Mr Roger Gill; Mrs Kate Hanslow and Mr Ben Hanslow; Mr Eamonn Pollard and Mrs Linda Pollard; Professor David Sadler; Mr Dominic Savio; Dr Nitin Verma; The Honourable Jim Wilkinson. Later at the Philip Smith Centre, Glebe, the Governor and Mr Warner viewed a display by the Miniature Enthusiast­s of Tasmania. In the evening, the Governor and Mr Warner hosted a lecture and reception for members of the Friends of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.
