Stand up on fish farms

CONGRATULA­TIONS Rob Pennicott, albeit belatedly, for going public with concerns about the expansion of inshore fish farming. Given Tassal intends to put three million fish in leases around Bruny Island, his tourism operation is clearly going to be adversely affected. With 800,000 going in Okehampton Bay and a million into a lease adjacent to Port Arthur historic site, when are other tourism operators going to stand up and voice their opposition to this

Honourable

AS President Trump calls his sportsmen names, it is fitting to remember our own Peter Norman. At the 1968 Olympics, he stood tall on the medal podium alongside Tommy Smith and John Carlos as they gave the Black Power salute. Norman, excluded from future Olympics, died a broken man, and Smith and Carlos were pall bearers at his funeral.
