Yesterday morning at Government House, the Governor of Tasmania, Professor Kate Warner, received Geoff Willis, chairman of the board, and Janet Carding, director, of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. In the afternoon the Governor received Michael Rowan, Graham Bury and Essie Davis at a lunch for Education Ambassadors. Later at the Hobart Cenotaph, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Warner, delivered an address and placed a wreath at a commemorative service to mark the centenary of the Battle of Beersheba.
