2017 / Arneis Region: Adelaide Hills Best with: Crab pasta Arneis is the white variety of Italy’s Piedmonte foothills region and thrives in cooler to moderate regions here. The First Drop crew have been working with it for a decade, including earlier oaked styles designed to age, but this is much more a smack-down summer slide with its nose of lemons and tonic bitters, a faint waft of cut grass, with a terrific mouth of minerals and subtle salines.
