Public Exhibition of Draft Amendment No.5 to the Tasman Peninsula and Norfolk Bay Marine Farming Development Plan November 2005
The Secretary of the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment has released Draft Amendment No.5 to the Tasman Peninsula and Norfolk Bay Marine Farming Development Plan November 2005 (the Plan), for public exhibition for two months, from 18 November 2017 to 17 January 2018, under section 38 of the Marine Farming Planning Act 1995. The Draft Amendment No.5 to the Plan and accompanying environmental impact statement is exhibited on the Department’s website and at the Marine Farming Branch of the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment (DPIPWE), 4th Floor, 1 Franklin Wharf, Hobart. An electronic copy of the draft amendment and accompanying environmental impact statement can be obtained from dpipwe.tas.gov.au/marinefarmplanning and from the Marine Farming Branch at the above address. Under section 39 of the Marine Farming Planning Act 1995 a person may submit a representation in relation to the draft amendment and may also request a hearing in relation to a representation. A representation under section 39 of the Act in relation to the draft amendment is to: • be made in writing • state the name of the person making the representation • be accompanied by a written request for a hearing if the person wishes a hearing to be conducted in
relation to that representation • state the address for receipt of any notice in relation to the hearing • be lodged by midnight on 17 January 2018 with the Planning Authority either: • by post to c/- Marine Farming Branch DPIPWE, GPO Box 44, HOBART TAS 7001 or; • by submitting the online form at dpipwe.tas.gov.au/amendment5. Representations that are not addressed as described above and/or are not received by the advertised date will not be considered as a representation to the draft amendment. The contents of representations will be available for viewing by any member of the public unless they are marked “confidential”.
