Kangaroo Bay no choice
LOCALS do not have a choice. It has been made clear by Chambroad Petrochemicals, the developer, and the council, that if this Kangaroo Bay development application is not accepted, Chambroad Petrochemicals will build the original councilapproved DA. This threat is distasteful. While the new DA is an improvement, it does not address so many issues: sale of crown and public land; traffic; height and style; lack of parking; loss of community access to foreshore; lack of community consultation and notification about the new DA. Neither development embraces the history nor protects the beauty of this wonderful historic bay. This is private profit at the expense of a community.
